Yumms On The Go!

So this trip started like all other trips.  Heading out in the truck with the kayak toys behind us and it's off for a day of adventure.  Once the truck settles in I headed back to my comfy spot to nap until we stopped for our play time.

So here I was enjoying all the different smells sounds and sites that go with traveling on our kayak toy.  We visited with the duck and saw she was sitting on some eggs.  PurrrRRRrrrs....... spring time! Then we continued while the people caught some wiggly fish.

Now at some point during our adventure we take time to eat.  Sometimes the people forget to bring food just for me.  In those cases they share some of their nums with me and although it is not preferrrRRRrrred it works.  Today I got a special treat.  I will claim it the treat for an active cat.

When she put the food in front of me I started with an old fashion sniff, then the taste test, then,....

I pushed the goods to a place that it would not move around and filled my belly with yummy goodness.  My human did not need to give me just a nibble at a time.  No mess in the comfy spot because it came with a nice container so all she had to do was give it to me.

I mmmmm! I just ate to my belly's content.  Now I am usually a nibbler.  This treat was purrrRRRrrrfect because I got to finish my treat later in the day at my will not needing to beg the people to pull it out of the lunch box.

After my yummy lunch I had enough energy to conquer the rocks and grass near where we were.

Those rocks take a LOT of energy to conquer so having a yummy meal during my adventure makes a BIG difference.  So maybe on our next adventure mom will remember to bring the Sheba Perfect Portion cat food just for me.  So far I have tried the chicken and the tuna and I like both of them, but I am partial to chicken always in any brand of moist food.

Happy Kitty!

I even played a little hide and peek.

Until the next adventure,
Meowrrrr,
Shadow the Kayakcat
Sarah the human.

  1. Shadow, you still amaze me! I went kayaking with my family for the first time a few weeks ago and I told them all about you and how much you like to go kayaking. They were amazed too!

  2. Mr. M usually prefers chicken flavor over fish, too ... he also loves watching birds.... Purrseidon seems to prefer fish and she loves watching frogs.
Shadow, do you think there is any correlation between the prey you like to watch and your favorite flavors?

    1. There may be a correlation. I was catching birds long before I was introduced to fish. I am learning to tolerate fishy type foods now.

    1. I try to get my humans to take me every week, but sometimes they refuse my cuteness. Occasionally we take our house on wheels and I get to play in the kayak toy two or three times that week.

  4. A cat and a kayak - one combination I've never heard of before. Sounds like a fun day was had by all.
