Company

Company

The human brought in some unwanted company today.  The dog was permitted to enter the house for one whole hour.  Now don't get me wrong, I like the dog, but the dog's territory is outside and mine is inside my house.

To be kind I did say hello.  I mean we are friends and all and we do like to play outside when I get to go out.  Her favorite game is chase the cat which happens to be me, but I roll over and let her lick me and that always ends the game.

I stayed around her for a little bit Just to make sure she was not going to try and run in my house on wheels.  She is a big dog and my house is too small for that big beast to run around.

After I knew she was going to behave herself I went back to my morning routine.  Breakfast, yummm!
So maybe it was just a little cold outside. The grass was frosted over and I did not want to even go near the windows because it was so cold outside.  Maybe sharing my house for a little bit was not all that bad.  After all the dog is very good about making sure other dogs, birds, squirrels and the occasional unwanted person does not invade my space so she does provide a bit of protection.

Ok, Roxie.  We can be friends, but just for a minute.

Until the next adventure.
Shadow the kayak cat.
Meowrrrr.

  1. We're not fans of dogs, Shadow. You were a lot nicer to Roxie than we woulda been. :)

  4. You’re very kind not to kick the woofie into the cold. Me, on the other hand, would have. heh heh.

  5. That is very nice of you to let Roxie come inside from the cold. I'm not trying to cause trouble, but she looks as if she might be eyeing your food in one photo! *wink-wink

  6. I don't have a dog of my own and I hope that never happens. Mom talks about it once in a while. I don't know if I could be friends with a dog like you are with Roxie.
